Route options
There are two practical ways to make the drive, and the right one depends on whether you want speed or scenery.

Where to stop
Ajmer makes sense if you want a quick break with food options right off the highway. Pushkar adds about 20 minutes but is worth it if there's no time pressure — the lake and the ghats are a natural place to stretch a long drive.
Nathdwara, if you're taking the scenic route
Around 45 km before Udaipur, Nathdwara is a common stop for the Shrinathji temple. It adds time but very little distance, so it's an easy add-on rather than a detour.
